Summer is here… well hopefully soon, it really us 4 seasons in one day in Hamilton and probably where you are as well. Today I just wanted to share a couple of new hardwearing black school sandals from our collection. It seems as though NZ must be one of the few countries in the world that require them, so they have been hard to find. With a lot of the kids shoes in NZ, if Australia doesn’t want them then we are out of luck, our little paradise’s population is just has a too sometimes.
To put it bluntly I hate roman sandals and I wont stock them in my shop ( I know of other kids shoe shops that won’t as well). You have to break them in order to get them to bend at the ball of the foot. An exception to this has been the Glidder sandals from India, though the bad news is that there will not be any this season.
Anyway back to what’s new….

We have had this style the past 3 summers in different colourways

. This season we have a full black version as well as the purple. This style has been a great fit, even on some of those hard to fit with narrow feet. It will stand up to the rigours of school wear as well as the active summer/Christmas holidays. Great for the beach, climbing over rocks, general day wear.
Priced at $89-90 and available in US sizes 10 to a big 6 (womens 7) it’s excellent value.
Kanyon By Keens In Black
Keen Kanyon in Black
We don’t forget the boys. If your school allows a closed toe sandal the Kanyon is a great option. Keens are known as being hardwearing and rugged, with a rubber toe buffer it does take the knocks. Suitable for out of school wear as well and again great for the beach or hiking. This version is all black, without the yellow stitching (which is also available)
Priced at $99-90 from sizes US 13 to big 6 and $94-90 for sizes 9-12
