Bobux Step Up – Winter 2018 Range

Welcome to the Bobux Step Ups for Winter 2018 Range. It’s in one convenient  place and you’ll find some of the old favourites that we still have in stock online & in store.

If this is the first time you are looking for shoes for your toddler’s growing feet you can’t go past Bobux. In our opinion they are the number one brand in NZ for first walkers, and we have fit these shoes to many first walkers! They offer a superb range of styles, mostly in leather for those that are fully walking all the time. The soles are nice and bendy, which helps with developing the ‘ball motion’ of walking, rather than ‘stomping’.

Bobux is committed to researching new styles, using nontoxic materials, to promote healthy foot development, plus look great, are functional for your lifestyle and are podiatrist endorsed. Designed for a chubby rounded, more rectangular foot with no arch, the range starts at a eur 18 up to a eur 22 (about a 1.5 to a small 2 year old). After that the IWalks ( starting at a 22 which is around 1/2 a size larger than the Step Up 22) are the next stage in terms of sizing and shape.

For those that are still crawling or taking a few steps, we recommend the Xplorers, (though Step Ups can be ok as well) which can be found here. On a side note, toddlers can still wear the Xplorer range until they grow out on the sizes. In fact, the AKTIV xplorers continue to be a hit with parents of those fully walking, so please do also chekc out the range.

Once again Bobux have full leather, leather lined options such as the Mary Jane Delight, T Bar Louise and classic trainer style the Port. With great Velcro fastening, they are so easy to get off & on. The Delight has, in the past, been ok on a narrower foot, mostly Bobux are suitable for the average to wide foot. And lets face it, most Kiwi kids are on the wider side.

Be aware that there have been some major changes to what was the last season’s Edge and Beat style. These had fabric uppers and a great scruff resistant toe The new Dimension styles, can now be found in the Xplorer range. The protective, toe cap that we know & love has been replaced with a ‘superfabric’. Bobux advises that they expect this to be as hard wearing as the previous version.

Be aware that many styles have the same name from the Steps Ups/Xplorers to the Iwalks to the Kid+. This may make it easier when looking at a style you like and then searching for the applicable size range.

If you are looking for sneaker looks of the past like the Trackside, sorry there are none… But don’t worry. At the end of this post we highlight some summer seasons sneakers that we still have.

Now the awesome boots.  The Timber, at take on Timberlands,  the Jodphur (yay the good old favourite is back) and the Desert, another much loved style bought back this year.
